But the restriction does not only restrict foods but also beverages. Most alcoholic drinks and beer are high in carbohydrates too. Although it should be noted that alcoholic beverages is usually restricted on any diet because of its high calorie content and very low nutritional value.

But even though these foods might be restricted in a low-carb diet, which might be favorites, there are still foods that can be enjoyed. If you are a lover of meat or protein then you might find a low-carb diet quite appealing. You will get the opportunity to eat chicken and beef and other animal products.

Just ensure that if you are starting out on a weight loss program and you find a low carb diet too restrictive for you then you might want to explore other weight loss programs. Do not feel that you have to make yourself stick to a plan that might not be right for you.
